Since the start of the pandemic, there haven’t been many “selfie-worthy” moments to capture. Local nightlife isn’t the same, and hanging out in public spaces with friends hasn’t been the easiest. But for those still looking for a way to capture those moments and take their selfies to the next level, The Atlanta Selfie Museum is the place to do just that.

The Atlanta Selfie Museum is an interactive photography studio that allows patrons to be the art themselves. With almost 20 different backdrops to choose from, museum-goers can take their pictures with the help of the museum’s professional studio tools.

The museum makes it easy for you to fulfill your influencer dreams. All you need is their unique backdrops, good lighting, and a friend to take your pictures. You are instantly greeted to a spacious room filled with many scenes. You feel as if you are in a photoshoot of your own, as you strike different poses against the backdrop of your choice.

Upgrade Your Selfies By Using Their Backdrops

A typical museum tour is spent snapping pictures of your favorite pieces. The Atlanta Selfie Museum integrates that experience allowing you to be the work of art.

The Atlanta Selfie Museum allows you to break away from the confines of a regular selfie. Their curated scenes allow you to be the center of attention. They make it easy for you, with most stations having light-setups to make sure you’re catching your best angles. The backdrops range for whatever mood you’re in, from fun and flirty to artistic and eccentric.

The first scene that caught my eye was the room full of mirrors with neon-light-filled balloons. If you liked Yayoi Kusama’s “Infinity Mirror Exhibit”, this backdrop is for you. The lights and mirrors work together to create a kaleidoscope environment and multi-mirrored look.

Many flocked to the multiple angle-winged backdrops they provided. Similar to the “What Lifts You” mural in Nashville, Tennessee, the museum provided three separate backdrops with different colored angel wings. Whether you wanted a pop of color or kept it simple with black and white, this scene left you feeling angelic.

A bouquet stretches across the wall of one backdrop. The floral scene is a dream for anyone wanting an ethereal feel to their selfies.

A line formed for the banana-backdrop with a swing, as many tried to get the best Boomerang as possible for their stories. It will take a few tries.

It smelt like teen-spirit posing in front of the smiley wall. I also found myself matching one of the psychedelic scenes.

Just one picture in front of one of their eye-catching backdrops will add some spice to your feed, making you stand out from the average user.

Creating Moments For Yourself

Since the start of the pandemic, many have found it hard to keep their social media pages upbeat and fresh. Though some travel restrictions have been lifted, and many in Atlanta are back to enjoying its nightlife, some are still easing their way back into normalcy. The difficulty has been trying to find those moments worthy of a picture.

Annie Zupon, a patron of the Atlanta Selfie Museum, hasn’t had many chances herself but has decided to make her own.

“Actually, for Christmas, I bought us a professional photographer and we shot Christmas photos” she said,”So, we are definitely creating our own moments to go out and take photos or like at-home photo shoots.”

Since the start of the pandemic, it has been hard for users to keep their social media presence fun and fresh. In a time that has stilted creativity, people are finding innovative ways to express themselves. The Atlanta Selfie Museum is doing just that while also allowing those to create exciting moments with friends. If you are looking to add some appeal back to your selfies, the Atlanta Selfie Museum is the place to do it. These backdrops are sure to bring anyone’s feed back to life.
